Both teams are pretty darn healthy for the Super Bowl. This is great news, seeing the teams near full strength for the big game. We even have a few players that have been out a while that could return to the lineup. Of the two teams, the Eagles are dealing with more injuries than the Chiefs but nothing is too serious at the moment. Here is the latest. . . .
DeVonta Smith, WR, Eagles. Smith is dealing with a new injury, apparently hurting his hamstring his last game. He has been limited in practice to start the week. Smith should be ready to go for the game. We don’t see this injury being a big issue, barring some sort of late-week setback. Smith should be good to go.
Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles. Goedert has an ankle injury but is practicing in full. He was likely just resting some early in the week. This injury doesn’t seem to be much of an issue. Goedert should be near 100 percent for the Super Bowl.
Kenneth Gainwell, RB, Eagles. Gainwell was out of practice all last week because of a concussion and knee injury. He is back to practicing on a limited basis this week, though. Gainwell is trending towards being ready for the Super Bowl. He should serve as the top backup for the Eagles as long as he is cleared from his concussion before the week is out.
Brandon Graham, DL, Eagles. Graham has been out since Week 12 because of a torn triceps. He is making progress from the injury, though, and trending towards being ready for what will be his last NFL game. We fully expect Graham to play but he might have a bit of a limited role in the game. Either way, his return is a positive for an already good Eagles defense.
Skyy Moore, WR, Chiefs. Moore has been out since October because of his core-muscle injury. He has an outside shot to be activated from Injured Reserve before the Super Bowl, though. He is practicing on a limited basis this week. We think it is a fairly long shot that Moore plays and has a big role in the game. The Chiefs are likely to go with what they have been using in recent weeks.
