PIC Fantasy Football Rules---updated 8/2025

1.Draft Info

The Draft will be ONLINE ONLY -- The draft will begin 7:00pm et

DRAFT DATE = TUESDAY 9/2/25

The draft will consist of 14 Rounds. The first round draft order will be first overall pick to the last overall pick. The second round draft order will be last overall pick to first overall pick. (E.g. – 1st Round pick 1-14, 2nd Round pick 14-1, 3rd Round pick 1-14, etc.)

Every team will be required to draft a minimum of 2 Quarterbacks, 2  or 3 Running Backs, 2 or 3 Wide Receivers, 0 or 1 Tight End(s), 1  Kicker and 1  Defense/Special Team (Defense and Special Teams must be the same team). Therefore, the 6 other position players drafted (Reserves) will be at the discretion of the team owner. (There will be 6 total reserves on each team) Please remember to draft bye week replacements or it will cost you later during the year.

2. Scoring  &  Starting Lineups ( UPDATED 2024 SEASON)

A Starting lineup must consist of 8 total players -1 Quarterback, 2 Running Backs, 2 Wide Receivers/Tight Ends, 1 FLEX player (RB or WR/TE) 1 Kicker, 1 Defense/Special Teams (Defense/Special Teams are one team)

The rtsports web site will tally the official scoring automatically each week. Any discrepancies will be reviewed by the commissioner and confirmed or denied by the Internet and/or other sources if necessary. The scoring system and league information is located on the following web site: www.rtports.com. This web site has a reports section along with several other sections, in which a team can request to see the leagues rules, scoring system, etc.

Points are only awarded to starting players. Therefore, if your reserve Quarterback throws 3 touchdowns in a week, you get nothing because you did not start him.

Note - Points will NOT be awarded to position players if they score on Special Teams (e.g. – Santana Moss returns a punt for a Touchdown). The Jets Defense/Special Teams get the points. Whoever has Santana Moss as their receiver, receives nothing.


All starting lineups must be submitted before 1:00pm EST every Sunday. If your lineup is not in by this time, than your starting lineup will be the same as the previous week. In the event of a Thursday night game, any team that wishes to start a player from their roster, which will be playing Thursday night, must submit that player or those players by 8:00pm EST. If you wanted a player to start on Thursday night, but did not submit the player in your lineup; then your player will not be a part of your point total for that week. The entire lineup is still due 1:00pm EST every Sunday. (2021-RULE CHANGED THIS SEASON FOR COVID REASONS-- YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO UPDATE YOUR LINEUPS THROUGH THE MONDAY NIGHT 8:15 PM GAME )

Note - The FFL committee will handle all final decisions concerning the lineup discrepancies. The FFL committee consists of Kerry Bretzius, John Doyle, Mike Acquarolo, Frank Giardina, Mark Plousis, and Shawn Flanagan. Dwayne Weldon and Kevin Russo will serve as alternates when a trade includes a committee member or a committee member is not available.


3. Regular Season & Playoff Game Tie-Breakers

TIE GAMES (Head to Head)

In order to make the standings easier and the regular season more conclusive, we will strive to have no game end in a tie. The tiebreaker format is as follows:

Tie Breakers

  1. Total Points Standings- Points scored in all weeks, counted one time per week (if there are multiple teams that are tied for a playoff spot, the RTSPORTS system will automatically figure out in the standings who is ranked higher) – the final standings will be what we use to determine the 8 teams that make the playoffs this year --no matter what)

 

PLEASE NOTE --- THE SYSTEM AUTOMATICALLY WILL FIGURE OUT THE TIEBREAKER RULES FOR MULTIPLE TEAMS – THE TOP TEAMS THAT QUALIFY WILL MAKE THE PLAYOFFS – THIS IS FINAL

Your commissioner will manually establish all playoff games

 


4. Trades and Transactions (Free Agent)


Trades can be made at a charge of $2 each player trade for and traded away by any team.This was changed for 2021 covid season (originally was 3.00 fee)

Trading:

Team owners may trade, but commissioner approval is required
Trading is suspended after Fantasy Week 13

All teams must maintain 14 players at all times, no more no less. All trades must be approved by the FFL committee before they can be implemented. Therefore, every trade must be sent to the commissioner for approval.

To pick up a player who was not drafted (Free Agent); you must utilize the website for the request. If more than one team wants a free agent, then the team with the worst record will receive the player. In the event, a tiebreaker is needed; the team who has the lowest total points will receive the free agent. All players that are dropped via the waiver wire or during pickups will automatically be available for pick up.

Waiver wire goes off at 11:45 pm Wednesday nights

Free Agent pick-ups start on a first come basis at 8:00am on 9/5 Thursday morning up until 8:15pm Monday. (YOU CAN NOT PICK UP ANY PLAYER THAT HAS ALREADY PLAYED OR THEIR TEAM HAS ALREADY PLAYED)

5. NEW -League Format & Playoff Schedule

There will be 1 CONFERENCE.


POSTSEASON

The top 8 teams will make the playoffs

The teams will be ranked #1 thru # 8 (NO BYE WEEKS)

WEEK #15 (FIRST ROUND PLAYOFFS)

1 vs 8 / 2 vs 7 / 3 vs 6 / 4 vs 5

WEEK #16 (SECOND ROUND PLAYOFFS)

Top # Seed Winners will play the lowest number seed winners

WEEK #17 (CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND)

The last two teams remaining will play for the Championship (1 Week)

Throughout the postseason the losers will respectively compete for 3rd thru 8th place consolation prizes.

 

TOILET BOWL

The remaining 6 Non-playoff teams will play in a "Toilet Bowl".  The worst two teams will get First round byes.

Worst two teams get first round byes and are seeded # 13 / #14

9 vs 12/ 10 vs 11

 

WEEK #16 (SECOND ROUND PLAYOFFS)

#14 seed vs lowest remaining seed that advanced from Week 14

6. Cash

TRANSACTION ($$$)

The Top 2 teams totaling the HIGHEST POINTS at the end of the regular season, and the OVERALL CHAMPION, will split the FREE AGENT TRANSACTION MONEY INCLUDING PLAYOFFS - minus the league draft/beginning of the year celebration at Chili's (deduct 0 dollars)

The split will go as follows:

-1st place takes: 50%
-2nd place takes: 25%
-Remaining 25% to the Overall Champion

(TRANSACTION MONEY)-All added players will be charged a $2.00 fee. All dropped players will be charged a $2.00 fee.

Trades can be made at a charge of $2 per player traded away/for by any team up until 10pm on November 28, 2021. (TRANSACTION MONEY)

8--2024 UPDATES TO RULES

1-NEW LINEUP FORMAT --2024- COMBINING WR/TE POSITION

The website allows us to combine the WR/TE slot so below is the new LINEUP changes 

You are able to start 2 WR or 2 TE or 1 WR and 1 TE --- and then the FLEX slot allows you to start a RB or WR/TE (REMEMBER THIS SLOT IS COMBINED NOW) 

So in theory you can start 3 WR or 3 TE or mix and match them

2-INJURED RESERVE RULE –UPDATED FOR 2024
