FFL: Week 10 | NFL: Week 10

3rd Quarter

By The Commissioner Thu Oct 16 7:47pm CT

Week 7 ushers in the second half and 3rd quarter of the season.  The first half was teams’ opportunity to figure out their players, perfect their starting lineup analysis, and make mistakes.  Now, teams should know what they have and focus on making a playoff push.  The top three teams in each division will make the playoffs and the last place team will have to settle for the Toilet Bowl.  Everyone is still in play for the playoffs, but the margin of error varies by teams.  Teams must minimize mistakes to improve their chances.  In most divisions, the difference between third and last place is nothing but a couple of games, with six games to go.  So, the last playoff spots will likely be decided in the final games of the season, which will lead to some exciting finishes.  Let the race begin!!!

Before we kick things off, let’s take a moment to review some of the performances from the first half of the season.

Game of the Week

Gridiron Guru (3-3) vs. Unbeatable By You (3-3)

This is a battle between Kornheiser Conference foes that are in second place in their respective divisions with Gridiron Guru from the Out of Time Division and Unbeatable By You from the Rundown Division.  Other similarities between the two, besides their division position, are they share the same 3-3 record and are both on a two-game losing streak.  The one distinction between them is the amount of points they have scored this season, with Gridiron Guru being among the top scorers and Unbeatable By You with the bottom scorers.  Each team is trying to get back in the winner’s column and push for their division lead.  We will see which one can get things going.

Enjoy the games!!!
