This was the last week of the first half of the season, bringing us to the proverbial halftime for the season.  We ended the first half with some good scoring and, surprisingly, no major injuries.  Teams were trying to close out the half with positive momentum to take into the back half of the season to fuel a playoff push.  Let’s see how the teams finished.

This week’s Game of the Week was REGULATORS (5-0) vs. Uptown Hot Boys (4-1).  This was a battle between the 1st and 2nd place teams in the Five Good Minute Division.  Both were 2-0 in the division and looking to take control of the division with their third division win.  With all that was on the line, this battle was very competitive throughout the week.  The Hot Boys jumped out early with a strong performance from Rico Dowdle (21) but the REGULATORS responded with a good outing from Baker Mayfield (21).  By the end of Sunday, the REGULATORS held a 47-35 lead, but the Hot Boys still had three players to go on Monday night, against the REGULATORS two players.  The Hot Boys were able to pick up a few points Monday night, but it couldn’t match the REGULATOR’s production.  In the end, the REGULATOR (6-0) defeated the Uptown Hot Boys (4-2) convincingly, 72-47.

This week’s most explosive game was Juke Move (3-2) vs. The Action Jackson (5-0).  The Action Jackson had a big weekend primarily off of three players; Patrick Mahome (31), Devon Achane (25), and Drake London (14).  It was more than enough, though, to capture the 97-50 victory over Juke Move (3-3).  The Action Jacksons are now 6-0.

The most competitive game was 2TRILL Chevy Rider (2-3) vs. Cooper Road Cougars (3-2).  2TRILL jumped out big off of five players scoring double digits, led by Justin Herbert (17), Dallas Goedert (12), and the Las Vegas Raiders defense (11).  By Sunday night, the Chevy Rider led 72-45; however, the Cougars still had a player going Monday night.  And, that player was Bijan Robinson, who had a big night scoring 25 points.  However, it wasn’t enough and 2TRILL Chevy Rider (3-3) rode off on the Cooper Road Cougars (3-3), 72-70.  The Cougars have been pulling off comeback wins the last couple of weeks, but the streak came to an end this week.

Next week's Game of the Week is Gridiron Guru (3-3) vs. Unbeatable By You (3-3).  This is a battle between Kornheiser Conference foes that are in second in their respective divisions, trying to push for their division lead.

See you next week!!!
