As we enter Week 4, we move into the second quarter of the 12-week season. The first quarter is where teams battled one another while learning their teams, through the trends that developed. In the second quarter, teams will look to confirm those trends, identify their strengths, and build some consistency during this stretch. Also, teams are starting to have to navigate injuries that are piling up. Key players have been lost for the year or will be missing significant time. This is where depth and team management start to play a factor. These skills will be what separates teams.
Game of the Week
Gatorbait (2-1) vs. West Point Green Waves (3-0)
This is a battle of 1st and 2nd place teams in the Errors & Omissions Division. This is their second time facing each other, after the kickoff meeting in Week 1, which the Green Waves won 77-43. The Green Waves have already accumulated two division wins and sit atop the division. Gatorbait has had a tough stretch to start the season going against four straight divisional opponents. He has faired well, taking two out of three, and has the opportunity to avenge his Week 1 loss. A win this week, for either team, will give them a strong hold on the division with three division wins. This will come down to who makes the least number of errors.
Enjoy the games!!!
